2,500 tons carrot storage in Russia
Tolsma-Grisnich has set up a storage facility for boxed carrots in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The installation is controlled by a Vision Control storage computer.
The arable business supplies carrots, potatoes, onions and cabbage to Russian supermarkets. The cooling management programme of the Vision Control storage computer ensures optimum fine-tuning of ventilation and cooling in the storage cell.
Optimum storage for 2,500 tons of boxed carrots in two storage cells. Both cells feature two QML-60 units, as well as an indirect cooling system in which glycol is used as the refrigerant. The four QML units are connected to a chiller. Due to the adjustable air-cooler temperature, weight loss of carrots is minimal throughout the storage process.
