Project Germany

7 August 2019

Last spring, Tolsma-Grisnich realised an automated, integrated filling installation capable of filling four 1,250 ton cells using a fully automated process at a storage and packaging business in Germany. The installation switches to another storage space without any need for human intervention. A single person can fill the entire hall employing one simple method.

The company uses the installation for onions in particular, and it is their objective to store products in the storage cells six times a year. The products enter the filling installation straight from the truck via conveyor belts. The sensors of the filling installation ensure optimal distribution of the product across the cells. The machine has been in operation for four weeks since it was officially commissioned, and initial user experiences are promising.
