Harvest Event is the new standard for meeting people

11 November 2020

Regular trade fairs have been cancelled due to Covid-19. Because Tolsma-Grisnich attaches great importance to customer contact and personal advice, we have organised the small-scale and regional Harvest Event 2020. Together with Grimme, we’re giving substance to ‘the new way of meeting’.

Just before the harvest, we organised Harvest Event 2020 in Biddinghuizen and Reusel in collaboration with Grimme. During this period in particular, arable farmers can really benefit from up-to-date storage advice from specialists. But they can also benefit from sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues. Which is exactly what the small-scale Harvest Event – with its emphasis on personal contact – was offering.

The visitors were given an interesting tour of the storage location and the latest storage techniques were explained. Now that the CIPC era in Europe is behind us, a constant storage temperature is the new normal. The mechanical cooling controlled by the Vision Control climate computer makes it possible to automatically and effectively apply sprout inhibitors over a longer period of time. View the benefits of mechanical cooling here.

Among other things, Grimme demonstrated the new Varitron self-propelled harvester, a modern trailed harvester and a storage line with a receivinghopper, telescopic belts and a storage loader. The day ended with a convivial ‘remote drinks party.’

We hope to follow up this event in the spring with a ‘Spring Event’.  Because the new way of meeting is now taking shape in the way the ‘Harvest Event’ was set up.
